Perinate and Perinate Newborn Services
CHIP Perinate services provides limited coverage
for the unborn children of women who are:
- Not Medicaid eligible and
- Have an income under 200% of FPL
Parkland Community Health Plan provides services for:
CHIP Perinate: Care for the child before birth.
CHIP Perinate Newborn: Care for the child after birth.
185% or below of FPL:
The child will automatically be on Medicaid for 12 months after birth.
186% or above FPL:
After birth, the child will receive the same benefits as for regular
CHIP. The same doctors and hospitals will provide them.
The total length of time the child can be on this plan is 12 months.
After this time, the child may be eligible for CHIP or Medicaid.
